Junior Circuit Design Engineer - Memory Arrays

Introduction
IBM’s Hardware Development Lab is leading the development of Processors for IBM
servers and super – computers.
We are hiring a Circuit Design Engineer to develop on-chip memory Arrays and you
can join this state-of-the-art team effort.
You will participate in the physical implementation of the next IBM
generation of CPU’s designed with IBM’s latest Silicon process(5nm)
with emphasis on high-performance (low power) memory design Using
cutting-edge tools and design methodology.
Due to the design complexity and tight requirements the person who
will fill this position will require fundamental VLSI and digital circuit
design understanding and know-how. The candidate will be required to
demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work
effectively in a highly dynamic team environment as a part of a larger
global design team.

Your Role and Responsibilities
• Owning the physical design of SRAM array from initial design.
planning until tape-out.
That includes: architecture definition schematic electrical simulations
physical implementation testability reliability and more.
• Working closely with the Logic design team Layout team and integration team.
• Working as a part of a larger global design team.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• B.Sc or M.Sc in Electrical Engineering.
• Basic knowledge in VLSI & digital circuit design Fundamentals
• Team player
• Motivated self-directed and able to work independently
• Fluent in English and Hebrew

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
• Scripting (Shell/SKILL/PERL/TCL)
• Experience in Custom circuit design / synthesis
• RTL coding
• Processor’s architecture
• Deep submicron technologies and basic device physics
• Acquaintance with digital CAD tools and Linux-like work environment
