Junior NetSuite Developer (REMOTE)

Position Purpose

The Jr.NetSuite Developer is responsible for solution engineering, recommending and developing process improvements, evaluating Third-Party tools and implementing enhancements to the NetSuite ERP system. The position will work primarily with management to closely align the NetSuite system with business goals.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop, test and deploy customizations, custom objects, and new functionality based on evolving business needs.
• Facilitate the creation and testing of future state business processes and script development.
• Customize NetSuite fields, page layouts, record types, reports and dashboards.
• Develop custom code using Suite Scripts to meet user requirements
• Maintain users, roles, security, profiles, workflow rules
• Refine and customize internal billing tools and methods.
• Work with multiple teams on roadmap projects involving financial applications and processes.
• Research and analyze application behaviors and improving performance and stability.
• Repair and recover from hardware or software failures.
• Coordinate and communicate with impacted user groups.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure data integrity.
• Configure NetSuite to align to company use of forms, field and customer records to manage unique business process requirements.
• Ensure business and functional requirements are properly configured in NetSuite and other IT financial enterprise applications.

• Work with IT and other business groups to design changes to existing systems and integrate new systems into infrastructure if needed
• Work alongside the IT to implement process improvements with systematic solutions
• Be able to understand articulate and document needed customization, reports and capabilities
• Take a hands-on approach to troubleshooting

Job requirements/Skills and Experiences

• 2-5 years experience in NetSuite development.
• BS degree in Computer Science / Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, or Perl (experience with all 3 highly desirable).

• Strong NetSuite Suitescript development experience and Netsuite SuiteCloud Developer Framework experience a must, including development of new customizations as well as updates and modifications to existing scripts. Analysis of business processes to recommend scripted optimizations/improvements.

• Strong experience in NetSuite Suite Bundler, NetSuite Suite Flow Customization, building new custom objects and NetSuite Administration (mid-level to understand the impact).

• End to end functional, process and technical knowledge of NetSuite including hands-on implementation, integration, customization and support experience

• Understanding of Java script, structured query language (PL/SQL), relational database design, and stored procedure development with Oracle and MS SQL Server
• Hands on experience designing solutions, installing software and data migration.
• Familiarity with IT transformation and experience managing business needs and requirements to IT deliverables.
• System implementation and system integration experience.

• Solid knowledge of NetSuite financial modules including purchasing, contract management, AP/AR
• Willingness to work on several projects at once in a fast paced environment
• Extremely self motivated. Can take initiative and work independently, asking for help when needed
• Ability to manage projects and work closely with business stakeholders
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Experience with Strongpoint a plus but not required
• Proficient in MS Office, database management, cloud applications
• Solid knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle Management
• Preferred Certifications (but not required): NetSuite SuiteCloud Developer II, Administrator, ERP Consultant
