Role summary 

We are seeking a detail-oriented Japanese Language Specialist who is proficient in Japanese reading and writing (Kanji & Kana). This role is ideal for candidates with 1–2 years of experience who are eager to build a career in operations. Full training on KYC, AML standards, and internal processes will be provided. 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing customer documentation in Japanese, supporting KYC processes, and ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards. Attention to detail and fluency in Japanese are essential. 

Location: Bangalore, India, On-site, Full-time 

What you’ll do  

  • Review applicant information and documentation in Japanese and English, using internal systems and regulatory tools. 
  • Translate and interpret customer documents to support KYC compliance checks. 
  •  Approve, decline, or request additional documentation from applicants based on internal guidelines. 
  • Perform periodic reviews for existing customers and analyse information for unusual patterns or inconsistencies. 
  • Escalate potential risks or discrepancies to the Team Lead or Supervisor. 
  •  Assist with case reviews and investigations as needed. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve efficiency and enhance customer experience. 
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous process improvement. 
  • Maintain accurate records while adhering to regulatory and internal compliance standards. 

Who you are – Candidate with strong Japanese reading and writing skills, Kanji & Kana. The role requires high attention to detail, and proficiency in Japanese and Microsoft Office. Candidates should be proactive, solution-oriented, and able to work efficiently under deadlines with a strong sense of ownership. Experience working with Japanese documentation or clients is a must. 

  • 1–2 years of experience (Freshers with strong Japanese language skills are encouraged to apply). 
  • Proficiency in Japanese reading and writing (JLPT N2/N1 preferred). 
  • Strong English communication skills. 
  • Bachelor’s degree (any discipline). 
  • High attention to details and logical thinking skills. 
  • Comfortable working with computers and Microsoft Office applications. 
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work in a target-driven environment. 
  • Proactive, solution-focused, and eager to learn. 
  • Basic understanding of KYC, AML, or financial services (not mandatory).  
  • Interest in KYC operations (training will be provided).
