• Must have minimum 4+ years of relevant exp on NetBackup should be able to do L2 Level activities.
• Good experience in Veritas appliance, Tape library, Dell, and HP systems.
• Expertise in management, configuration, and administration of NetBackup is Mandatory.
• Should have experience in backup reporting.
• Good communication and ultra-positive attitude are a must.
• Perform performance metrics review to identify and attempt to remediate utilisation issues.
• Resolving incidents relating to the backup clients and backup failures
• Support the software/hardware troubleshooting, fault isolation and repair processes, including.
• Follow defined backup policies and maintain procedure documentation.
• Proactive system optimisation and maintenance as required.
• Troubleshoot and report performance and space utilisation.
• Support restoration activities from backup upon client request
• Manage admin level access to all in-scope data backup software and hardware instances.
• Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot data backup configurations.
• Manage and provide available data backup log/error checking for the supported software and/or databases.
• Perform restoration of data and objects
• Verify if supported hardware appliance (tape library or data backup appliance) systems firmware versions are at hardware vendor recommended levels.
• Backup client inclusion/exclusion as requested by client.
• Perform relevant remediation actions on storage environment raised because of disaster recovery exercise or vulnerability assessment.
