The opportunity:

Clinical Operations at Parsley Health is responsible for the design and deployment of new programs and initiatives. The Lead Clinical Operations Associate is a member of the Clinical Operations team. The Lead Clinical Operations Associate will deliver and maintain operating efficiency to ensure the Clinical team has appropriate clinical operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and systems in place to effectively grow the clinical organization. The role is responsible for managing/overseeing the Clinical Operations Associates role and reports to a Senior Director of Clinical Operations.

What you’ll do:

Operational Excellence

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Parsley Health product and clinical operations policies and procedures, general workflow, electronic health record workflow, and quality standards. 
  • Develop and deploy operational policies, tools, and workflows to improve the efficiency of the clinical practice, scaling solutions, and supporting clinician, care manager, and health coach processes.
  • Conduct organizational training for all clinical and administrative staff as required
  • Serve as a key stakeholder and partner and liaison to the care management, member experience and product teams
  • Leverage data and create reporting to evaluate, analyze and enhance each new project and implementation
  • Oversee and coordinate administrative tasks for the clinical practice, improving the efficiency of the practice, lab operations, and clinician and health coach processes.

Project Support

  • Build and maintain resources that assist administrative projects and scale solutions.
  • Oversee and manage practice-wide pilots and initiatives as required
  • Develop and execute against work plans for multiple small to midsize projects during any phase of the project life cycle, from conception through final implementation.
  • Develop and maintain detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans & status reports. Supports the coordination of resources, project documentation, project status reporting, project risk management, change management as well as post implementation reviews.  
  • Apply PMO tools, processes, etc to enable design and deployment of consistent processes and systems to enable cross-functional strategy deployment across the organization   

Products/Services

  • Deploy products necessary for critical expansion of services, including referral management, technology/EHR deployment and secondary care options
  • Consult on set-up and workflows for the new products and services being deployed  
  • Coordinates with all Parsley Health departments to ensure communication is clear and all the correct people are involved
  • Provides direct project and program management support for initiatives including referral management, secondary care products, and other related expansion of services.
  • Sit on advisory boards for Parsley Health product-lead pod meetings when available to act as clinical operations liaison to provide input and guidance around EPD projects that impact the clinical teams 

People Management

  • Mentor and manage a small team of Clinical Operations Associates to support Parsley Health’s clinical team and ensure an amazing provider and member experience.
  • Support your direct reports’ performance by understanding team metrics, working towards improving efficiency, reliability and consistency, and coaching/training in key performance areas as needed.
  • Support Clinical Operations Associates hiring and onboarding for new hires as needed.

What you’ll need:

  • At least 2-3 years in a related position in healthcare, operations, clinical care and/or membership experience
  • Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience, specifically working with clinical teams managing small to midsize initiatives.
  • Minimum 1 years of people management or equivalent supervisory experience, preferred.
  • Experience using an electronic medical record system and working with clinical notes is a plus, but not required
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a passion for developing your team.
  • Flexibility; things change often and we need someone who can adapt quickly.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to collaborate with teammates in service of best member and provider team experience. Team player is a must.
  • Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and drive to completion, self-starter with a seek and solve mindset that always looks for the best solution. Effective time management is required.
  • Demonstrated proactivity, autonomy, adaptability, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence in your work. Demonstrated ability to complete multiple tasks under pressure without direct oversight.
  • Demonstrated contributions to improve process, workflow or day to day operations.
  • Solid analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to problem-solve.
  • Highly organized with experience in managing and prioritizing projects, both big and small, to completion with high attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Google office products. Experience with Asana is preferred.

Parsley Health is committed to providing an equitable, fair and transparent compensation program for all employees.

The starting salary for this role is between $60,000 - $65,000, depending on skills and experience. We take a geo-neutral approach to compensation within the US, meaning that we pay based on job function and level, not location.

Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors. We recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated with candidates during the process.
