This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead Engineer – Funnels (Full-stack) based in India.
This is a high-impact technical leadership role at the core of a high-scale Funnel and Website Builder ecosystem used by millions of businesses worldwide. You will lead the development of real-time, collaborative, and high-performance web building experiences that power funnels, websites, publishing systems, and AI-assisted creation tools. The role combines hands-on full-stack engineering with strong technical and team leadership responsibilities, requiring you to guide architecture decisions while still contributing directly to code. You will operate in a highly distributed, microservices-driven environment handling massive global traffic, where performance, scalability, and reliability are critical. A key part of your mission will be enabling predictable delivery across multiple engineering squads while continuously improving engineering quality and developer experience. This is a highly visible role where your work directly impacts product performance, customer success, and platform scalability at global scale.
Accountabilities:
- Lead end-to-end technical execution of the Funnels and Website Builder ecosystem, ensuring scalable and reliable delivery across multiple engineering squads.
- Contribute hands-on to full-stack development across Vue 3, Nuxt, Node.js, NestJS, and distributed backend services.
- Design and review scalable architectures for high-traffic systems, including rendering pipelines, CDN strategies, publishing workflows, and real-time collaboration features.
- Drive system reliability and performance improvements by identifying bottlenecks, stability risks, and optimization opportunities across the platform.
- Collaborate with infra, SRE, product, and design teams to ensure global-scale performance, stability, and seamless user experience.
- Define architectural standards, engineering guardrails, and best practices across frontend and backend systems.
- Lead sprint planning, execution tracking, reporting, and cross-functional alignment to ensure predictable delivery.
- Mentor and guide engineers across squads, supporting career growth, code quality, and technical decision-making.
- Debug and resolve complex production issues across distributed systems, CDN layers, and microservices architecture.
- Improve developer experience through tooling, automation, and build pipeline enhancements.
- 7+ years of full-stack engineering experience building scalable web applications and high-throughput backend systems.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Vue 3, Nuxt, Module Federation, Node.js, and NestJS.
- Solid experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, caching strategies, and microservices environments.
- Proficiency with databases and infrastructure tools such as MongoDB, Firestore, Elasticsearch, ClickHouse, Nginx, and CDN-based systems.
- Deep understanding of system design principles including scalability, reliability, fault tolerance, and performance optimization.
- Experience with real-time systems, collaborative editing, rendering engines, and asynchronous processing workflows.
- Strong ability to define and work with SLOs, observability tools, logging, tracing, and performance monitoring.
- Proven experience leading engineers or squads, including mentoring, technical leadership, and delivery ownership.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across engineering, product, and leadership stakeholders.
- Hands-on mindset with the ability to balance architecture leadership and direct engineering contributions.
- Strong ownership mentality with the ability to drive execution in fast-paced, high-scale environments.
