Lead Instructor: Software Development

A day in the life 

• Prior to the program launch, instructors complete the required instructor training. There are 22 lectures scheduled over the 18 program weeks. Lectures are two hours in length. You will share the teaching responsibility of these 22 lectures with another Lead Instructor. Lectures are virtual – taught over Zoom and other virtual learning technologies like Slack.
• The duration of this contract is 18 weeks, from July 16 to November 18, 2023.Live lectures are run via Zoom on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2-4pm ET & Saturdays from 10am - 3pm ET.

Your expertise 

• 3+ years experience in web development, with a degree or strong credentials
• Expertise with html, css, javascript, react, angular, vue, git, github, wordpress and other tools and developmental frameworks
• Experience with wireframes, mockups, and web design principles
• Previous teaching experience, preferably in a remote environment

Where you are

• This role is remote and can be located anywhere that is compatible with the EST time zone. We are headquartered in New York City and have office space in Midtown Manhattan.

Compensation

Compensation is provided on a per lecture basis at $500 per 2 hour lecture on Tuesday/Thursday and $1000 for the 5 hour lecture on Saturday, which includes an anticipated 2 hours of preparation per lecture. Lectures are divided between two Lead Instructors.
