Job Description

Where you'll work:

Our hybrid workplace model offers the freedom to work fully remote or occasionally in one of our offices. This is a remote position with a hybrid option for candidates based in Charlotte, NC or Morristown, NJ.

How you'll contribute:

As the Leader of Annuity Modeling, you'll oversee the development and maintenance of all Prophet annuity models used for Valuation and Projections functions. This role provides assurance to model users of the validity and transparency of model results for use in financial statements, analysis, and risk management purposes.

In this role, you'll get to:• Govern and manage the model development lifecycle to meet the needs of model users• Collaborate with IT on version control and the maintenance of models in a production environment• Oversee the implementation and testing of new software releases, library updates, new products, new regulatory requirements, and shared table changes• Provide training, modeling guidance and best practices to modeling team• Leverage knowledge of Prophet model objects, to allow for optimal model design decisions• Supervise the change management and version control processes, including model merges• Maintain relationships with software vendors• Coordinate the prioritization and timing of model changes across stakeholder groups• Orchestrate model input and output data streams with internal partners

We're looking for people who have: • A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or Computer Science• FSA or ASA preferred• 7+ years of modeling experience in open code actuarial modeling software• Extensive knowledge of annuity products• Experience with actuarial Valuation and Projections requirements• Experience managing, motivating, and developing a team• Strong written and oral communication skills• Conceptual and analytical skills to develop solutions to complex problems• Sound business judgment skills (decision-making and problem solving)

People you'll work with:

Direct Reports/Team: 4 Direct reports who are also people managers. Titles of the Direct reports: Director & Actuary, Director - Actuarial Services

Other Key Stakeholders: This position will work closely with Data and Technology partners for the model development & version control, also heavily partners with valuation and projections team in gathering business requirements
