Headway is building a new mental healthcare system that everyone can access. We make it easy for people to find quality in-network mental health care by removing historic barriers faced by mental health providers, payers, and patients.Â
1 in 4 people in the US have a treatable mental health condition, but the vast majority do not get the care they need. The primary reason is cost: the majority of therapists do not accept insurance, meaning paying for therapy is prohibitively expensive for prospective patients. This is where we got our start – Headway has built the first software-enabled network of therapists who accept health insurance, making it easy for therapists to grow their practices, and possible for patients to find quality care they can afford.Â
We launched in April of 2019 and are now powering 400,000+ appointments per month. To scale our vision, we’ve raised over $100 million in funding from a16z, Thrive, Accel, and Google Ventures.

About the Team & Role
As Headway’s first Lifecycle Marketer, you’ll play an integral role in scaling Headway’s lifecycle marketing function. Reporting directly into Headway’s Provider & Patient Marketing Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that our provider’s communication journey with Headway is world-class and seamless – and that it drives results.
You Will
- Own our provider’s end-to-end communication journey with Headway – from acquisition and conversion to onboarding, retention and expansion
- Partner closely with our comms, sales, and customer success teams to ensure that we deliver a consistent and world-class experience to customers throughout the lifecycle
- Own day-to-day execution – from the content and strategy to building emails and segments in our messaging tools (Marketo, Intercom, Sendgrid, ChurnZero, etc)
- Support the strategy and execution of various communication channels – from email and SMS to in-product messagingÂ
- Establish reporting for key metrics throughout the lifecycle (open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates)Â
- Define a testing roadmap to improve both new and existing touchpoints
You’d be a great fit if…
- You have 3-7 years of lifecycle marketing experience, preferably in health tech
- You’re comfortable with a broad CRM tech stack (e.g. Saleforce, Marketo, Intercom, etc) – ideally, you have either implemented or owned one of these tools in the pastÂ
- You’re obsessed with details – you triple-check before pressing send
- You’re empathetic and relationship-obsessed – both with internal collaborators and customersÂ
- You have strong track record of driving quantifiable resultsÂ
