Job Description

Pay Rate; $19.25 per hour

Shift Hours: 7am - 3pm +OT

(Additional $.20 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Manually pick up birds by legs, inverts bird and hangs bird by both legs on to moving shackle.
• Uses leg pedal to control belt conveyor that transports birds to workers.
• Responsible to hang only live birds and dispose of dead birds.
• Must handle birds with care to not injure, damage or bruise birds.
• Responsible for cleanliness of work area. Responsible to adhere to all Quality Assurance and safety regulations.
• May be cross-trained in dump operations; kill positions, and picker positions.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

• Able to do basic math, counting and telling of time.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English. Able to follow instructions, both verbal and demonstrated.
• Previous production type experience preferred. Must be able to operate forklift. Must have a valid drivers license at all times. Alternate duties as Live Hanger and Dump Operator.
• Good hand-eye coordination. Ability to make quick quality judgement decisions within the levels of assigned duties.
