Manager, Brand Marketing
Job Description
The Manager of Brand Marketing will support the planning, development, implementation and monitoring of marketing plans, campaigns, strategies, advertising, and partnerships which will drive awareness for Crystal Cruises globally. The Manager will work closely with the Director of Brand Marketing and global marketing teams to create and support strategies that achieve business objectives.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Ensure that marketing campaigns and content strategies align with the broader Crystal Cruises brand strategy.
- Work cross-functionally with internal departments and third parties to execute marketing efforts.
- Evaluate creative and marketing materials including campaign copy, e-mail, collateral, print media, brochures, landing pages, advertising, co-branded materials, direct mail and more.
- Support Trade and Reservations teams with the development of communication templates, talking points, trainings, webinars, events, speaking engagements and post-event outreach.
- Identify and monitor competitive set; work closely with third-party market research companies to conduct customer, brand and product research initiatives as defined, interpret findings, and make actionable recommendations.
- Work with internal marketing and sales teams to develop joint marketing plans that drive leads and review and approve all materials developed by partners to ensure brand standards are maintained.
- Provide support and expertise for events, conferences, trade shows and marketing programs that promote the brand globally.
- Update Marketing Plan for distribution with wider team.
- Track all brand marketing expenditures for monthly budgets and submit invoices for processing to Accounts Payable in a timely manner.
- Exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to all aspect of job functions
- Position requires imagination, originality, and talent in the marketing field
Requirements
Education: bachelor's degree in marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field preferred
Experience: 5-10 years of experience in marketing, advertising, or corporate communications, hospitality/travel experience a plus.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs.
- Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and/or InDesign.
- Strong copywriting, editing and proofreading skills.
- Firm understanding of digital and performance marketing strategies.
- Familiarity with marketing tactics and strategies for affluent markets.
- Strong understanding of brand management and executing projects to guidelines.
- Must be highly detailed-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Team player with a positive attitude who works well cross-functionally.
- Resourceful, creative self-starter who takes initiative to learn processes and get things done with little supervision.
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment where strategic brand-building efforts are priority - start-up experience a plus.
Work Environment
Works in a typical office environment with quiet-to-moderate noise generated by computer printer, fax machine and light traffic. Traveling may be required.
Physical Demands
Requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, and reaching. May require lifting or pushing up to 25 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, calculators, the telephone, and other office equipment.
