Job Description

#WeAreCrowdStrike and our mission is to stop breaches. As a global leader in cybersecurity, our team changed the game. Since our inception, our market leading cloud-native platform has offered unparalleled protection against the most sophisticated cyberattacks. We work on large scale distributed systems, processing over 1 trillion events a day with a petabyte of RAM deployed in our Cassandra clusters - and this traffic is growing daily. We're looking for people with limitless passion, a relentless focus on innovation and a fanatical commitment to developing and shaping our cybersecurity platform. Consistently recognized as a top workplace, CrowdStrike is committed to cultivating an inclusive, remote-first culture that offers people the autonomy and flexibility to balance the needs of work and life while taking their career to the next level. Interested in working for a company that sets the standard and leads with integrity? Join us on a mission that matters - one team, one fight.
The Team:
The LogScale Engineering team is responsible for expanding the CrowdStrike's Falcon platform with the world's most responsive high-scale log management system, able to ingest petabytes of data per day in any format, correlate that data across Falcon modules, and produce any answer in real time. The team is also responsible for enabling the success of other Falcon modules that leverage LogScale technology. The LogScale Engineering team is distributed across Europe, the US, and Australia, with a majority of engineers clustered around Aarhus, Denmark. Cross- functional engineering teams put CrowdStrike customers first, work directly with the product team, with field teams, or with customers, and are expected to own their roadmaps and systems. When it comes to delighting customers, we never say "that's not my job".
This role is ideal for candidates who are just starting their engineering management and are steadily growing their people management skills.
What You'll Do:
  • You will support and drive between a team mapped onto LogScale customer personas, and you will be a people manager of individual contributors. In this capacity, we're looking for a leader that is genuinely passionate about making others successful, as well as about building and maintaining a high-performance independent team.
  • You will continue to contributes technically with activities such as making code changes to continue to scale LogScale and pushing new code to production
  • You will co-own and be accountable for delighting customers, roadmap delivery, and service level objectives in your space. You will support teams to excel in all those areas and step in to unblock and guide whenever needed.
  • You will be a part of the LogScale engineering leadership team and a contributor to our roadmap, technology, and organizational decisions that impact all of the LogScale product group.
  • You'll ramp up on the LogScale technology and, we hope, become an honestly passionate hands-on advocate as you see the beauty and impact of it.

What You'll Bring:
  • Has successfully supported a small engineering team as either a people manager or with leading technical projects
  • Experience in software development in general and the ability to juggle making pragmatic tradeoffs between short-time delivery needs vs long-term product goals
  • Deep knowledge of how discrete and distributed computing systems work, and a demonstrated ability of mapping technical trends onto business strategy.
  • History of positive impact on customer experience and product fit.
  • Passion for being a driver and owner of excellence and growth in an ambitious, high-bar, international tech company.
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field.
