The Manager of Business Development will play a critical role identifying, evaluating, building, and nurturing high-priority strategic and technology partnerships as well as driving a variety of cross-functional strategic initiatives. This person will also work collaboratively with product, strategy, and go-to-market leadership to define and execute our integration strategy. We are looking for a dynamic and passionate team player who is a strong strategic and analytical thinker and excellent problem-solver and relationship builder, with a track record of utilizing data to solve key business problems. Prior experience in Management Consulting, Strategy/BD within a product-focused tech company, or entrepreneurial venture is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Build end-end business cases for new product, partner, integration and other strategic opportunities, working with cross-functional stakeholders to drive insights and collaboration
- Execute and influence Lucid’s platform and ecosystem strategy, working with strategy, product, engineering, marketing, and sales to make Lucid’s visual suite more extensible
- Source & persuade 3rd parties to build amazing new apps on Lucid’s developer platform
- Support and expand existing partner relationships, initiatives and technology integrations with companies like Asana, Loom, Clickup, Smartsheet, Notion, and Airtable
- Manage and prioritize a high volume of inbound requests and outbound opportunities in a fast-paced tech environment
- Work directly with Sr. Director of BD, VP of BD/Strategy, CPO and other C-level executives
- Monitor and analyze industry trends and competitive/partner intel, identifying and evaluating opportunities and exploring their alignment with company and product objectives
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of combined business development, partnership, and/or strategy experience
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven autonomy in a high performing work environment
- Ability to thrive when faced with ambiguity and situations without complete information
- Highly organized with strong project management experience
- Relationship expert with strong empathy for both internal and external stakeholders
- Develops creative solutions with partners that ‘make the pie bigger’
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree from top-tier college or university
- Experience with SaaS companies and markets
- Experience with a suite or platform of products
- Experience working with and leading cross functional teams
- Becoming an expert on new domains of knowledge
