This role offers the opportunity to lead the development of large-scale, AI-enabled enterprise SaaS applications that directly impact millions of users across global organizations. You will oversee a distributed engineering team responsible for building and operating customer-facing web platforms hosted on AWS, ensuring high standards of scalability, reliability, and security. The position combines technical leadership, people management, and operational ownership in a fast-paced, product-driven environment. You will collaborate closely with product and design teams to translate complex requirements into robust, cloud-native solutions. Acting as both a strategic leader and technical guide, you will help shape engineering practices, architecture decisions, and delivery excellence. This is a highly impactful role suited for a leader who thrives in ownership-driven, “you build it, you run it” environments.

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade, customer-facing web applications built on modern microservices and cloud-native architectures.
• Provide technical leadership through architecture governance, design reviews, and code reviews, ensuring high standards for performance, scalability, and security.
• Manage and mentor a distributed team of software and quality engineers, fostering accountability, growth, and a strong engineering culture.
• Own production operations for your services, including incident response, on-call rotations, and post-incident reviews in a production-responsible environment.
• Drive adoption of Generative AI tools and modern engineering practices to improve productivity, innovation, and software quality.
• Partner with Product Management and Design teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Lead initiatives focused on operational excellence, including observability, automation, resilience, and alignment with SLAs and SLOs.
• Ensure continuous improvement of engineering processes, system reliability, and delivery efficiency across teams.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3+ years in engineering management or team leadership roles.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale SaaS products with customer-facing impact.
• Strong hands-on or architectural expertise with AWS services, including compute, storage, networking, security, and monitoring.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud-native design principles.
• Proficiency with modern frontend technologies such as React and backend frameworks such as Ruby on Rails or equivalent.
• Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or similar technologies.
• Demonstrated success in “you build it, you run it” environments with production ownership.
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Ability to guide technical strategy while supporting team development and execution excellence.
