Job Title:Deck Electrician Location:Newport News, VA Pay: 24-27/hr plus 120/day per diem Experience Required: • Minimum of3+ years’ experiencein the electrical field (Industrial, Marine, or Commercial Nuclear applications). Key Responsibilities & Skills: • Read and interpret shipboard electrical installation drawings, wiring tables, schematics, and work packages. • Work independently with minimal instruction. • Proficient in the use of electrical meters and test instruments (volt-ohm meter, clamp-on ammeter, insulation resistance testers, etc.). • Perform general deck electrician work, including: • Laying out and mounting electrical equipment and wireways. • Installing cable penetrations in equipment, bulkheads, and decks. • Cable installation, terminations, cut-in, and hook-up. • Use standard electrician hand tools (pliers, wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, crimping tools, etc.).
