We are looking for an enthusiastic writing intern for our energetic Marketing team where great things are happening. We have one of the strongest digital content programs in therapy, work closely with our clinicians at a local level, and appear in top-tier media outlets such as TIME, Fortune, and NBC.


An internship with us will give you a hands-on learning experience across all facets of a successful content team within a marketing department. You will meet motivated people who treat you with respect and are invested in your professional development. Key Objectives:

  • Support a range of Thriveworks content initiatives, gaining writing experience and expertise in the process
  • Gain exposure to different areas of marketing including SEO, paid, social, and PR – to better understand where you may want to focus their professional career
  • Learn to work well with others – including other content team members, marketing team members, and those in other departments
  • Learn about the ins and outs of marketing campaigns, the marketing funnel, target audiences, and key messaging strategies

Responsibilities:

  • Write content for Thriveworks.com – both blog articles about a range of mental health topics and service pages for specific Thriveworks locations
  • Publish articles and service pages on Thriveworks.com, via WordPress
  • Audit and edit existing content on Thriveworks.com, to detect and update outdated language
  • Write/edit bios for Thriveworks clinicians
  • Generate content for newsletters (both client- and clinician-facing newsletters)
  • Write content for Google Business Profile posts, highlighting key services and topics
  • Support marketing campaigns and other initiatives with individual and group research/collaboration

Background:

The successful candidate will be a college student with a minor or major in the field of Marketing, Media, or Communications overall who is interested in pursuing a career in writing for marketing purposes. They have done research within or outside the school setting, have formulated and presented around a topic of interest, and are interested in mental health care. They can prove an ability to balance through extracurricular activities from either high school or college and have demonstrated an ability to deliver under pressure in either an academic or sports environment.


Requirements

  • College student: Sophomore, Junior, or Senior
  • College GPA of 3.5 or better
  • Major or minor in Marketing, Media, or Communications
  • Has excellent communication, writing, and editing skills
  • Comfortable with interviewing others and can summarize learnings in a clear and concise manner
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Can speak to a passion for mental health care as a category
  • Is an enthusiastic consumer of trends in health care, keeping up to date on the latest viral trends

  • Demonstrates can-do attitude
  • Knowledge of Google Workspace, Microsoft Office suite, chat
