Master Control Operator

• Maintain and manipulate on-air playlists execute program/commercial/marketing changes and support live-event and contingency workflows using cutting-edge software like SNELL Morpheus and Amagi.
• Execute seamless program commercial and marketing changes and provide support for live events and contingency workflows.
• Take ownership of commercial integration ensuring flawless rolling of commercial breaks during both taped and live programming.
• Contributing to the team which collectively monitors and maintains 150+ channel streams ensuring continuous availability and identifying any inconsistencies with keen attention to detail.
• Guarantee the continuity of programming by meticulously confirming the readiness of every piece of material for on-air playout.
• Act as the last line of defense for internal clients and stations swiftly responding to any on-air discrepancies with situational awareness and quick decision-making skills.
• Protect our airwaves by meticulously simulating the viewer experience constantly checking for proper audio video captioning and picture quality.
• Collaborate with Operation Supervisors and work as a cohesive team to promptly recover from any on-air discrepancies.
• Act as a mentor and subject matter expert by contributing and supporting on-going 1:1 peer-to-peer training.
• Perform all other duties to support the success of the Network Operations Center as assigned by manager and follow company rules and policies

• A high school diploma and relevant certification or associate degree in Media or Communications or equivalent professional experience in broadcast digital or post-production role.
• A solid understanding of television production broadcast operations and/or news/sports/entertainment technical production requirements.

• Prior professional experience working in master control or a production control room is highly desirable.
• The ability to maintain composure and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to adapt to new and changing workflows and software implementations
• An acute attention to detail and a knack for cross-referencing and identifying inconsistencies coupled with the ability to anticipate and report potential issues and concerns proactively.
• Ability to multi-task and balance numerous priorities in a deadline-oriented environment
• A team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven experience working collaboratively with others who is always respectful and maintains a positive attitude
• A punctual hardworking disciplined and dependable individual
• Fluency or proficiency in Spanish is a definite plus

• Must be willing and available to work any shift including overnight shifts weekends and holidays to meet the needs of a 24x7/365 operation with possibility of schedule changes based on business needs and priorities.
