Mechanical Engineer

• Lead hardware development for satellite communication products end-to-end from concept to production and beyond
• Transform raw ideas into optimized system-level solutions through hands-on design and analysis
• Apply cutting edge tools such as CAD FEA CFD as well as tried and true analytical techniques to solve complex challenges
• Hold design reviews with stakeholders to drive the ball forward use your creativity to influence product direction and ensure you design is ready for compliance certification in the global marketplace
• Deliver manufacturable reliable designs using GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis; coordinate with both outside vendors and our internal manufacturing plant to ensure parts come in as designed and products can be built at scale
• Champion your design for manufacturability efficiency and continuous improvement; drive your design to be faster lighter and less costly to build
• Work side-by-side with multidisciplinary teams you'll create integrated solutions to make the difficult possible
• Plan and execute testing to validate performance and ensure our products meet rigorous standards
• Own timelines and drive success across every stage of the product lifecycle

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering aerospace engineering or other technically related field
• 5+ years of engineering experience (e.g. CAD testing design etc.)

• Skilled with CAD (Creo SolidWorks or Fusion 360) for the creation of parts and assembly models; able to read and create detailed engineering drawings to ASME Y14.5 standards; exposure to Configuration Management system
• Knowledgeable in mechanical design & analysis testing and electronics
• Experience conducting performance tests generating results and presenting them to technical and non-technical groups
• Experience using engineering analysis tools (FEA CFD etc.) to validate your designs and capable of explaining the results to others
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and own product development timelines while maintaining focus on the details that matter
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in fast-paced iterative development environments
• Knowledgeable in GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis for production-ready designs
• Experience with electronic board assembly design including mechanical integration mounting strategies and thermal management solutions
• Working knowledge of electronics design across chip-level package-level and board-level integration
• Familiarity with RF EMI/EMC considerations in hardware design
• Background in manufacturing environments and production scaling
• Knowledge of supply chain production processes and lifecycle management
