Purilogics®, LLC is a Donaldson company, located in Greenville, SC. Purilogics leverages a novel technology platform for the development of best-in-class membrane chromatography products. The company offers a broad portfolio of purification tools for a wide range of biologics, including mRNA, plasmid DNA, viral particles, monoclonal antibodies, and proteins. Purilogics' proprietary formulations and processes create membranes that have significant competitive advantages, enabling faster and more cost-effective production of increasingly complex biologic drugs.

With the acquisition, Donaldson's membrane technology expertise, and global sales and manufacturing footprint, will enable faster development and commercialization of Purilogics' novel membrane chromatography columns for biologics purification.

As a Membrane Process Development Engineer I in our Purilogics business unit at Donaldson Company, you will play a part in creating and testing products that impact lives and join a collaborative team of scientists and engineers on the cutting-edge of biologics purification technology. Our work focuses on the fundamental physical and chemical principles that drive membrane chromatography performance. You will be tasked with executing development plans and leading membrane production process development.

Role Responsibilities:

• Assist Senior Engineer implement development strategies
• Design and develop prototype process tools
• Test prototype process efficiency, collect feedback, and iterate rapidly
• Communicate and collaborate with internal development and manufacturing teams
• Possess in-depth understanding of the intellectual property portfolio and related literature
• Plan, design and execute process development activities
• Troubleshoot problems during production
• Record and report work progress
• Lead data analysis and preparation of project reports and presentations
• Transfer completed process to relevant stake holders
• Perform and develop physical property and chemical property testing procedures
• Participate in the development of new technology and products, and/or innovative modifications to existing products to meet technical requirements within time and cost constraints
• Create standard procedures and specifications for processes, products, and tests
• Assist in the establishment and execution of timelines and budgets
• Prepare, analyze, and interpret test data
• Perform troubleshooting and routine calibration of equipment
• Present results and analyses to company stakeholders
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

TRAVEL: Up to 10%

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Chemistry, Material Engineering, or related field, and at least 1-2 years' of relevant industrial work experience OR Advanced Degree with 1 years' of relevant industrial work experience
• Demonstrated mechanical/technical aptitude

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness of data, reports, records, etc.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with a wide variety of company personnel
• Proficient in MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to recognize problems/opportunities and recommend/implement solutions
• Ability to readily adapt to changing priorities
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage several projects and tests simultaneously, while effectively planning and completing tasks
• Ability to execute assignments with minimal oversight
• Ability to work with suppliers, customers and collaborators while managing multiple, strict deadlines
• Ability to conduct independent research and explore creative solutions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, changing work environment
• Highly self-motivated, positive attitude, very strong communication skills
• Ability to learn fast, and to work proactively with limited direction
• Demonstrated strengths in time management, managing progress on multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing under pressure, staying organized and maintaining accountability to self-established deadlines.
