This position requires an active U.S. Government Security Clearance at the TS/SCI with CI poly level.

Are you looking to advance to grow your tech chops and make an impact?  Join our talented team to help design build and scale a mission-focused big data analytics platform.  In this role you’ll work across the stack developing intuitive user interfaces and robust backend services as well as features that enable insights at the speed of mission. You’ll collaborate closely with data engineers DevOps engineers and other developers to deliver reliable high-performance solutions.  As part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team you’ll play a hands-on role in designing and building solutions that directly impact users. You’ll collaborate closely with both end users and fellow technologists to ensure our tools and applications truly meet customer needs.

Responsibilities:

• Design develop and maintain features for a big data analytics platform
• Build responsive front-end applications and scalable backend APIs/services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features
• Optimize applications for performance scalability and reliability
• Integrate with large-scale data pipelines and distributed systems
• Write clean maintainable and well-tested code
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
• Work onsite in a SCIF environment 80% or as needs dictate in either Herndon VA or Westminster CO

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active TS/SCI with CI poly (or willingness to obtain a CI poly)
• 8+ years of technical experience in:
  • Front-end frameworks (e.g. React Angular or Vue)
  • Backend development (e.g. Python Java Javascript R Node.js or similar)
  • Designing and consuming RESTful APIs
  • Databases (SQL and/or NoSQL)
• Capable of working effectively with a geographically distributed ops & development team
• Communicate effectively with customers and team in written and oral forums
• Degree or equivalent demonstrated experience in a technical field such as Computer Science Engineering Math GIS.

Desired Qualifications:

• Strong Linux skills and familiarity with hybrid cloud/on-prem architecture AWS C2S Openstack etc.
• Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure or GCP)
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g. Spark Kafka Hadoop)
• Experience with big data technologies such as Kubernetes Spark Hive and/or Hadoop Accumulo ElasticSearch
• Experience with Apache NiFi Apache Airflow or Kafka
• Experience working with open-source resources in a government computing environment
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)
