Mobile Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Mobile Engineer based in Brazil.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Mobile Engineer to contribute to a high-traffic, fast-scaling mobile platform that directly impacts the shopping and fintech experience of millions of users. You will work on a React Native-based mobile application, building and enhancing features that improve usability, performance, and engagement. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to support large product releases and ensure a seamless mobile experience. You will also participate in design and architecture discussions, helping shape the future of mobile development within a modern fintech ecosystem. • Design, build, and maintain features within a cross-platform React Native mobile application, ensuring performance, scalability, and high-quality user experience.
• Collaborate with product owners and engineering teams to understand requirements, refine solutions, and deliver impactful mobile features.
• Participate in system design and architecture discussions, contributing technical ideas and best practices for mobile development.
• Support large-scale product releases by working closely with engineers across multiple teams and ensuring platform stability.
• Write clean, scalable, and testable code while actively contributing to code reviews and engineering standards.
• Assist in planning, estimating, and delivering engineering tasks aligned with product roadmaps and stakeholder priorities.
• Continuously learn and adapt to new product areas while identifying opportunities for improvement in mobile performance and usability.

Requirements

• Experience in software engineering with a strong focus on mobile or frontend development.
• Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript, with hands-on experience in React Native or React (web) strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of modern frontend development principles and mobile application architecture.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating backend services into mobile applications.
• Familiarity with automated testing practices, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience using AI tools or large language models (e.g., Claude or similar) to improve productivity and development workflows is required.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in fast-paced, collaborative engineering environments.
• A mindset focused on ownership, accountability, and delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.
