The National Sales Specialist implements strategies to establish strong contractual agreements and develop superior relationships with key leaders at Dental Support Organizations and other large dental groups.Â
Essential FunctionsÂ

Have a primary focus to prospect and rapidly add new DSO customers to Patterson Dental.Â
-
Collaborate and build relationships with local general managers, territory reps and specialists.Â
-
Develops and maintains strong relationships DSO Customers at the C-Suite level. Â
-
Partners closely with National Key Account Executive to transition, and maintain new customer relationships. Â
-
Lead negotiations to acquire new businessÂ
-
Execute at a high level to on-board new customers in partnership with Patterson Dental team. Â
-
Maintain relationship with customer key decision makers in partnership with National Account ExecutiveÂ
-
Maintaining accurate records for prospects, customer orders, sales records, and other financial activity.Â
-
Partner with National Account Executive to develop and deliver annual customer reviewsÂ
-
Other duties related to the National Sales Specialist position.Â

Organize and lead educational events and webinars and drive attendance.Â

Required QualificationsÂ

Bachelor’s degree in sales, business, economics, finance or related major or equivalent experience and at least 5 years of proven sales experience in business-to-business sales modelÂ
-
Experience in or with the dental industryÂ
-
Proficient understanding of sales principlesÂ
-
Possesses strong business acumenÂ
-
Demonstrated ability to lead sales support roles to achieve team quotas.Â
-
Analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data to drive business decisions.Â
-
Demonstrated success in building and maintaining business/customer relationships.Â
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skillsÂ
-
Team player with entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to try new ideas to achieve greater levels of successÂ
-
Demonstrated success working in an unstructured and entrepreneurial environment.Â

Ability to operate with a strong sense of urgency and deliver resultsÂ
-
Self-motivated, persistent, and goal-oriented attitude and can work effectively as an individual or as part of a teamÂ

Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easilyÂ

Valid driver’s license along with good driving record.Â

Bachelor’s degree in sales, business, economics, finance or related major.Â

Professional Sales Certification is highly desired

100% travel to customer sites in a regional areaÂ
