Position Specific Description

As an OSP Engineer supporting our Fiber business, you will be responsible for reviewing as-builts, including splicing schematics and sequentials. Responsible for the engineering design of outside plant cable construction in aerial and underground telecommunications infrastructure of existing and ongoing projects. Identify OSP engineering problems and provide solutions to address them and work with drafting and GIS team members. Ensure all network quality requirements are followed and inspect OSP networks. Develop mitigation and restoration methods for emergencies such as fiber damage, and power failures. Maintains records of all fiber cable splicing and topography.
