This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Paid Media Executive (Google Ads & Paid Social) in South Africa.
This role is designed for an experienced performance marketer who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment and is ready to take full ownership of multi-channel paid media campaigns. You will manage and optimize campaigns across Google Ads, Meta Ads, and other paid platforms, driving measurable growth for a diverse portfolio of clients. The position requires a strong balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with responsibility for both campaign performance and client communication. You will act as a trusted advisor, translating complex performance data into clear insights and actionable recommendations. Working in a collaborative agency-style setting, you will partner with creative, SEO, and analytics teams to deliver integrated marketing strategies. This is a high-impact role where accountability, autonomy, and commercial thinking directly influence client success.
Accountabilities
Take ownership of end-to-end paid media delivery, ensuring strong performance, clear communication, and continuous optimization:
- Manage and optimize paid media campaigns across Google Ads, Meta Ads, and additional platforms such as YouTube, Display, Shopping, and Performance Max
- Oversee multiple client accounts simultaneously, ensuring accuracy, performance consistency, and strategic alignment
- Develop campaign structures, bidding strategies, audience targeting, and testing frameworks to maximize ROI and lead generation
- Lead client communication, including performance reviews, reporting sessions, and strategic recommendations
- Translate complex performance data into clear commercial insights and actionable next steps for clients
- Monitor daily campaign performance and implement data-driven optimizations across keywords, audiences, creatives, and landing pages
- Ensure accurate tracking and attribution using GA4, Google Tag Manager, and other analytics tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including SEO, content, creative, and account management to deliver integrated marketing solutions
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in PPC and paid media management
- Proven expertise in Google Ads and Meta Ads campaign strategy and execution
- Strong background managing multiple client accounts, preferably in an agency environment
- Solid understanding of GA4, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio, and conversion tracking principles
- Experience optimizing campaigns across paid search, paid social, and performance marketing channels
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make actionable recommendations
- Confident client-facing communicator able to present insights and lead performance discussions
- Strong commercial awareness with a focus on business outcomes such as ROI, conversions, and revenue growth
- Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently
- Desirable: experience with LinkedIn Ads, TikTok Ads, Microsoft Ads, or eCommerce/CRO optimization
- Fully remote role based in South Africa
- Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00am – 6:00pm (SAST)
