As a Partner Manager, you will play a critical part in creating the best user experiences in the world across all Yahoo properties from Yahoo Mail and Search to Content properties such as Yahoo Life and InTheKnow.
This role also requires ongoing cross-functional collaboration working closely with business development, operations, engineering, marketplace/policy, legal, and product management teams. The key to success is on-boarding, optimizing, deal expansion, as well as ongoing partner support to ensure both parties are driving towards growth. The role's primary focus is to drive incremental revenue by recommending and implementing optimization ideas based on collaboration with partners, Yahoo product teams, peers, and our internal revenue optimization team.
The Yahoo Commerce team helps bridge advertisers/brands with users by providing the right tools and content for users when they need it most. As a Partner Manager, you will help manage strategic relationships, and be the core/feedback loop between internal stakeholders such as Product and Engineering, and our external partner stakeholders to ensure that Yahoo is implementing the most innovative solutions for our products, users and partners. You will work side by side with various Yahoo teams and help contribute to the build of our products.
Responsibilities
- Drive overall partner success and be responsible for the performance of each partnership in your assigned book of business.
- Lead day-to-day management of assigned partners and drive deep engagement.
- Drive collaboration with internal operational/product teams to complete technical on-boarding and technical troubleshooting as needed.
- Lead optimization efforts to drive incremental revenue for both the partner and for Yahoo.
- Manage all partner communications and business reporting rhythms including daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly meetings
- Manage the full project life cycle, from initiation through implementation
- Comfortable with managing multiple projects with tight deadlines and a sense of urgency
Basic Skills/Requirements:
- A proven track record for managing partnerships, especially in the internet space.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to move fast, and eagerness to exceed goals.
- Strong program management and collaboration skills.
- Experience managing peer relationships.
- Strong cross-functional skills, including ability to motivate and influence others (including members of other teams) to meet your business objectives and revenue goals.
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
Preferred Skills/Requirements:
- Experience in building close "trusted advisor" relationships with external partners.
- Experience in setting account management strategies and initiatives.
- Online media/internet expertise preferred or knowledge of the internet search or display advertising industry.
Experience & Education:
- 5+ years of relevant experience, including experience in partner account management or sales in the Internet, Online Media or Enterprise Software industries.
- Direct experience in Internet search and online advertising a plus
- BA/BS required.

If hired for this position in Colorado, the compensation range for this position is between $121,500.00 - $202,500.00. The compensation may vary depending on your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include additional incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, plus equity incentives. Yahoo provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, retirement, company holidays, vacation, sick time, parental leave and an employee assistance program.
