About the Role:

Credible is seeking an ambitious Payroll Specialist to support the finance department by taking ownership of the entire payroll cycle, as well as assisting with daily accounting functions.Ā  You will be a core member of a small, dedicated, highly productive team of professionals focused on delivering excellence as a department. We have a collaborative work environment and host regular team and office events. We believe in operating with transparency and excellence.

The goal of the Finance department is to contribute to the overall efficiency of Credible’s operations and empower Management with real-time insights into the Company’s financial performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Process Biweekly payroll for all employees, including hourly and salary employees
  • Calculate pro-rated pay for all new hires, terminations, and leave of absence payments
  • Assist with maintaining Workday payroll system
  • Establish procedures to audit and ensure the accuracy of employee data in Workday
  • Reconcile payroll bank account and ensure wage and tax payments are accurate
  • Prepare payroll journal entries and monthly reconciliations between payroll records and General Ledger
  • Support HR in benefits-related issues, as well as compliance with company policiesĀ 
  • Assist with annual compliance testing and audits related to payroll and benefits
  • Own and end to end Bank reconciliations processĀ 
  • Assist with accounting projects and related administrative and operating functions
  • Create monthly reconciliations for audit purposes
  • Submit and manage all aspects of AP recessing for benefit invoices
  • Enter and release off-cycle, on-demand payments as needed
  • Collaborate with different stakeholders on resolving all payroll issuesĀ 
  • Maintain a wide variety of payroll information, files, and records in electronic formats for the purpose of providing an up-to-date reference and audit trail for compliance.
  • Promptly executes all pre- and post-processing audits to validate payroll accuracy and make any necessary adjustments so that employees and other key stakeholders have an error-free payroll experience
  • Act as a point of contact for all payroll-related issues
  • Previous experience with Workday payroll is nice to have

Education and Experience:

  • 4+ years of work experience working in the payroll space
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Two-year experience in high-growth and fast-paced work environmentĀ 
  • Attentive to details, multi-tasking, and able to function under tight deadlines
  • Embrace changes and be comfortable recommending changes to improve accuracy and efficiency
