This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a People Ops Partner based in Canada.

This is a high-impact People Operations role supporting a fast-growing, global organization with a strong remote-first culture. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth, compliant, and scalable HR operations across multiple geographies, including Canada, the US, and international markets. The position combines hands-on operational ownership with process improvement, giving you direct influence over how employees experience onboarding, payroll, and day-to-day HR support. You will work closely with Finance, Legal, and People teams to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance across all HR systems and workflows. Accountabilities:

In this role, you will own core People Operations functions while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and an excellent employee experience across a global workforce.

  • Manage end-to-end onboarding and pre-joining processes for employees and contractors across Canada, the US, and international locations
  • Oversee payroll operations ensuring timely, accurate payments and full compliance with tax and labor regulations
  • Maintain and update HR policies, employee handbooks, and internal knowledge systems to ensure compliance and clarity
  • Administer employee expenses and reimbursements using relevant financial and HR tools
  • Support and coordinate employee engagement initiatives, including events, town halls, and recognition programs
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of HR data across HRIS platforms and reporting systems
  • Improve and automate HR workflows to increase efficiency and reduce manual processes
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, Security, and People teams to ensure scalable and compliant HR operations

  • Requirements:

    The ideal candidate is an experienced People Operations professional with strong global HR exposure and a passion for building efficient, employee-centered processes in fast-growing environments.

    • 5+ years of experience in People Operations, HR, or related roles
    • Experience in high-growth, fast-paced, or scaling organizations with strong ownership mindset
    • Hands-on experience managing global payroll across Canada, the US, and other jurisdictions
    • Strong knowledge of Canadian employment law, CRA requirements, and tax compliance
    • Proven experience managing onboarding processes for employees and contractors
    • Familiarity with HRIS and operational tools such as Rippling, Deel, Ramp, Asana, or Notion
    • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
    • Excellent communication skills with ability to work across diverse, global teams
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
    • Genuine interest in people experience, culture building, and operational excellence
