This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Pessoa Engenheira de Dados Pleno based in Brazil.

This role is focused on building and evolving a modern data and analytics ecosystem that supports strategic decision-making across the business. You will work at the intersection of data engineering and business intelligence, designing scalable data pipelines, robust data models, and executive-level dashboards. The position involves handling large and complex datasets, ensuring data quality, governance, and performance across all analytics solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, translating business needs into reliable data products. Beyond technical execution, you will contribute to architecture decisions and best practices, helping shape the organization’s data maturity. Accountabilities:

  • Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines integrating data from multiple systems and sources
  • Design and structure analytical data models optimized for reporting and BI consumption (Power BI and related tools)
  • Build scalable, high-performance data models using dimensional modeling techniques (Star Schema, Snowflake)
  • Create dashboards, KPIs, and executive reporting frameworks to support business decision-making
  • Investigate and resolve data quality issues, inconsistencies, and pipeline failures through root cause analysis
  • Work with large datasets and optimize queries and data workflows for performance and reliability
  • Develop data transformations using SQL, Power Query, and Python when needed
  • Contribute to semantic layer modeling and analytics architecture (including Azure Analysis Services when applicable)
  • Participate in defining data architecture standards, governance practices, and modeling guidelines
  • Document data pipelines, business rules, and analytical models to ensure clarity and maintainability
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in strategic analytics and BI initiatives
  • Support and mentor junior professionals, sharing technical knowledge and best practices
  • Requirements:

    • Solid experience in Data Engineering and Business Intelligence roles
    • Advanced SQL knowledge and strong experience with data manipulation and querying
    • Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines
    • Knowledge of infrastructure deployment using Terraform
    • Strong understanding of dimensional modeling (Star Schema and Snowflake)
    • Hands-on experience with Power BI and dashboard development
    • Experience with Power Query for data transformation
    • Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation
    • Experience with Git for version control
    • Knowledge of Data Warehouse architecture and large-scale data environments
    • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for data pipelines and systems
    • Ability to document technical and functional processes clearly
    • Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders
    • Proactive mindset with ability to propose improvements in tools, architecture, and processes
    • Bachelor’s degree completed (all fields accepted)
