Job description

Team: IT

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Principal Architect / Senior Director (Solution Architect – Databricks) based in the United States.

This is a senior, client-facing architecture leadership role that combines strategic advisory responsibility with hands-on solution design and delivery accountability across complex, enterprise-scale data environments. You will act as a trusted technical partner to clients, guiding end-to-end architecture decisions from early pre-sales engagement through full implementation and adoption. The role is centered on designing and delivering modern data platforms built on technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, and cloud-native ecosystems, enabling advanced analytics, AI/ML use cases, and real-time data processing. You will work closely with executive stakeholders to translate business goals into scalable, high-impact technical solutions. In addition to leading architecture strategy, you will ensure successful delivery execution, drive solution quality, and oversee adoption within client environments. This is a high-visibility leadership position for an architect who thrives at the intersection of business value, platform engineering, and client success.

Accountabilities:

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to enterprise clients, aligning technical architecture and data platform solutions with business objectives and long-term transformation goals.
  • Lead end-to-end solution architecture for large-scale engagements, including Databricks-based data platforms, customer data ecosystems, and analytics-driven architectures.
  • Own pre-sales technical leadership activities, including discovery sessions, solution framing, scoping, estimation, and proposal development for complex opportunities.
  • Ensure architectural alignment with enterprise standards, cloud strategy, and best practices across data engineering, AI/ML, and real-time processing systems.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle from design through implementation, ensuring successful delivery, scalability, performance, and measurable business value realization.
  • Act as the primary technical escalation point for clients, guiding resolution of complex architectural, integration, and delivery challenges.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, product, and delivery teams to influence solution direction, improve methodologies, and strengthen platform capabilities.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to architects and delivery teams, promoting best practices and raising overall technical excellence.
  • Requirements:

    • 10+ years of experience in client-facing technical roles, including solution architecture, pre-sales, and enterprise implementation leadership.
    • Strong hands-on expertise with modern cloud data platforms, particularly Databricks, Snowflake, or equivalent large-scale data ecosystems.
    • Deep understanding of enterprise solution architecture, including data modeling, integration patterns, and scalable distributed systems design.
    • Experience with identity resolution, customer data platforms (CDP), and customer 360 architectures (deterministic and probabilistic matching).
    • Proven background in designing real-time data processing systems and AI/ML-enabled analytics solutions at scale.
    • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud migration strategies from on-premise to cloud environments.
    • Experience in data-driven marketing environments such as digital marketing, CRM, or customer analytics ecosystems.
    • Strong executive communication skills with the ability to translate technical complexity into clear business value for senior stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead multi-stakeholder engagements and guide cross-functional teams through complex delivery cycles.
    • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive senior executive-level compensation package
      • Remote-based role within the United States
      • Opportunity to lead high-impact enterprise transformation programs across leading global organizations
      • Exposure to cutting-edge data, AI/ML, and cloud-native architectures at scale
      • Strong autonomy and ownership over solution strategy and client success outcomes
      • Collaborative environment with access to senior technical and product leadership
      • Career growth opportunities into broader architecture leadership or enterprise strategy roles
      • Engagement with modern Databricks and cloud data ecosystem technologies
