The Principal of Change Management is responsible for managing the change roadmap required to execute Availity’s large scale internal and external strategic initiatives. These large projects often affect hundreds of internal and external stakeholders. This will require evaluating the resourcing required to execute the change and the change readiness of the team. It will also require supporting the planning, training and adoption associated with these large-scale projects. They will play a pivotal role in minimizing disruption, engaging stakeholders, and driving adoption of new processes, systems, or structures across the organization.

To be qualified for this position you:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in change management, with a proven track record of leading large-scale change initiatives.
  • Certification in change management methodologies a plus (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR, or similar frameworks).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, including C-suite and executive-level engagement.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with change impact assessments, organizational readiness, and business process improvement.
  • Experience leading change initiatives in Agile or Lean environments.

You will be:

  • Establish change management strategies for internal and external stakeholders including required resourcing to support change management, training, adoption metrics, etc.
  • Partner with Availity marketing & communications team to support communications across change management initiatives (e.g., specific themes to emphasize, milestones)
  • Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with leaders across the enterprise to support large scale strategic projects
  • Able to act independently as a member of the Enterprise PMO team assisting with internal, cross-functional engagements.
  • Work with growth, marketing, product, finance to understand potential risks and pain points that can be addressed through change management
  • Coach internal stakeholders include project managers, engineering managers, and product managers on strategies to manage complex change
  • Codify approaches and insights to develop replicable playbooks to manage
  • Build capabilities across the organization to support continued independent execution of strategic initiative
  • Change Strategy & Planning:
    • Develop and implement change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and minimize resistance.
    • Assess organizational readiness and capacity for change.
    • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to address barriers to change.
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Collaborate with executive leadership to drive the change agenda, providing advice on best practices for managing change.
    • Engage and align stakeholders at all levels of the organization, ensuring their involvement and commitment to the change.
    • Facilitate communication and collaboration between project teams and stakeholders.
  • Change Impact & Assessment:
    • Conduct impact analyses to determine the effects of changes on business processes, employees, and customers.
    • Create detailed change impact assessments and recommend strategies to address gaps and challenges.
    • Track progress and assess the effectiveness of change efforts, making necessary adjustments.
  • Change Execution & Monitoring:
    • Oversee the execution of change initiatives, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
    • Implement change interventions and initiatives to facilitate smooth transitions.
    • Monitor the adoption of changes and adjust strategies based on feedback and performance metrics.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify and address potential resistance to change and develop strategies to overcome it.
    • Proactively manage change-related risks and issues, escalating where appropriate.
  • Post-Implementation Review:
    • Assess the success of change initiatives post-implementation and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
