PagerDuty is seeking a Principal, FP&A Transformation to join our diverse, customer-focused team! As Principal, FP&A Transformation, you will continue innovating our technology and processes to support PagerDuty’s expansion of our product platform and geographic footprint. This is an exciting opportunity to design and implement best in class technologies and processes, to enable the FP&A team to compress the time to report on key information and develop actionable insights.
The ideal candidate will leverage their passion for finance and technology, proven experience, business partnership skills, and their professional network to develop a vision for how the team’s systems and practices should evolve in the coming years to maximize the team’s ability to effectively and efficiently support the needs of a scaling business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESÂ Â
- Manage the long-term roadmap of systems and processes for FP&A in deep partnership with the leads of each FP&A pillar, Accounting, IT, Business Insights, and Strategy and Operations leaders across the company; Define a clear vision for a best-in-class FP&A function of the future.
- Effectively gain team and stakeholder buy-in through collaboration, external benchmarking, strong reasoning, and effective communication.
- Develop and maintain a conceptual data model of all major FP&A data sources that enables the most effective use of our data and systems.Â
- Recommend and drive changes to FP&A system architecture based on deep business understanding and collaboration with IT and other key contributors and stakeholders.Â
- Learn, map, and recommend changes to key FP&A and cross-functional business processes.
- Expand the set of “source of truth” metrics that are readily available in a system of record.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of relevant experience (e.g. Finance, BI, Analytics, management consulting).
- 2+ years experience designing and re-engineering critical FP&A processes.
- Previous SaaS experience with company revenues of more than $100m.Â
- Power user of BI and financial planning software (ideally, Anaplan and Tableau or similar).
- Experience implementing or re-architecting financial planning software.Â
- Experience with various technology stacks within several high growth companies.
- Domain expert in FP&A - proven experience leading FP&A or a pillar of FP&A in a technology company.
- Advanced understanding of financial statements, corporate finance, accounting principles, and SaaS metrics.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent experience.
- Track record of leading large, cross-functional projects in deep partnership with cross-functional Strategy and Operations teams.
- Strong executive communication skills (verbal and written).
- Exceptional attention to detail. Have been responsible for executive and Board level deliverables.
The base salary range for this position is 158,000 - 241,000 USD. This role may also be eligible for bonus, commission, equity, and/or benefits.
Our base salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range, which is subject to change based on primary work location, reflects the minimum and maximum base salary we expect to pay newly hired employees for the position. Within the range, we determine pay for an individual based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills/competencies and experience.
