Job description

Team: Product

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Principal Product Technologist based in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering, product thinking, and AI-driven innovation, helping redefine how modern product development is executed at scale. You will design and build AI-powered tools that accelerate experimentation, improve decision-making, and transform how product teams learn and iterate. Operating within a highly experimental environment, you will prototype systems that shape the future of the product development lifecycle itself. The role requires deep technical expertise paired with strong product instincts, with a focus on turning ambiguity into working systems that deliver measurable impact. You will collaborate closely with data science, engineering, product, and leadership teams to translate transformation goals into scalable, real-world solutions. This is a high-impact position where your work directly influences how teams build, test, and evolve products in an AI-first environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, develop, and iterate on AI-powered tools and systems that enable faster experimentation, improved decision-making, and enhanced product development workflows.
  • Rapidly prototype solutions that streamline and compress stages of the product development lifecycle, enabling faster learning cycles for teams.
  • Collaborate with engineering and data science teams to define scalable architectures, build data pipelines, and establish integration patterns for AI systems.
  • Partner with product managers, researchers, and leadership to translate strategic transformation goals into functional, production-ready systems.
  • Contribute to the design of system architecture for AI-driven platforms that scale across multiple teams and organizational use cases.
  • Present technical solutions and insights to stakeholders and leadership, ensuring clarity around complex systems and their business impact.
  • Lead projects independently while bringing structure to ambiguous technical and product challenges.
  • Requirements:

    • 7–10 years of experience in software engineering, technical product development, or related disciplines with strong technical depth.
    • Proven experience designing and building AI-powered systems, including LLM orchestration, RAG architectures, agentic systems, and tool integration patterns.
    • Strong prototyping skills with the ability to rapidly build and iterate functional systems that generate actionable feedback.
    • Experience translating organizational or operational challenges into scalable technical solutions.
    • Background working in cross-functional environments with strong collaboration and influence skills beyond formal authority.
    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and modern development practices.
    • Experience working with data science teams to define metrics, instrumentation strategies, and data pipelines for insights generation.
    • Strong systems thinking mindset with the ability to reason about feedback loops, organizational impact, and long-term scalability.
    • Demonstrated portfolio of impactful technical work, ideally including systems that transformed team workflows or operations.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive annual base salary ranging from $169,300 to $284,700 depending on location, experience, and performance
      • Equity awards as part of the total compensation package
      • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
      • 401(k) retirement savings plan
      • Paid time off, holidays, and flexible work arrangements
      • Parental leave and family support programs
      • Professional development opportunities and learning resources
      • Remote-first work model across the United States
      • Inclusive and innovation-driven work environment
