Principal Project Manager

Our Professional Services team is looking for a Principal Project Manager! As the Principal Project Manager you will lead the implementation and configuration of all Unanet business units working cross-functionally to plan and execute projects according to established timeframes and budgets. You will own defining project objectives and overseeing quality throughout the project's lifecycle, all with the support our passionate and talented Customer Experience team.
What You'll Do:

• Leading complex projects, including for enterprise-level clients including scope, risks, timelines, budget
• Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications
• Provide recommendations and leadership to Project Management team to ensure consistent implementation methodologies across all business units
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders
• Provide recommendations on process improvements including planning, forecasting, implementation processes, hand-offs, tools, etc.
• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths
• Serve as a practice expert in the project management domain
• Be a change agent within the professional services organization
• Provide mentorship to junior team members as they continue to grow within the PMO organization
• Maintain or exceed realization target

Your First 90 Days
In your first 30 Days:

• Attend Orientation and meet the Unanet team
• Review pre-recorded videos of Unanet features available in our Support Portal/Knowledge Base as well as Learning Management System (LMS)
• Shadow kick-off calls, status calls, and close-out calls on at least two (2) engagements
• Understand internal tools (e.g., Monday.com, Confluence, Unanet)
• Build out a draft project plan for a client
• Develop a detailed training plan with your manager

In your first 60 Days:

• Continue to shadow implementations work through your defined training plan
• Attend all available training sessions and webinars
• Start supporting assigned clients with assistance from other team members
• Maintain project plans, status reports, and project notes for assigned projects in appropriate tools
• Maintain and own budget and forecast of projects
• Be able to complete Change Orders as needed
• Achieve 10% billable utilization target

In your first 90 Days:

• Continue to shadow implementations and work through your defined training plan
• Lead, manage, and own all or some portions of client implementations including kick-off calls, status reporting, and close-out calls
• Own both change and scope management
• Own budget and forecasting on assigned projects
• Own all Project Management-related communications for assigned projects
• Achieve 25% billable utilization target

Who You Are:

• 8+ years of consulting experience, ideally in B2B Software
• Prior experience working within the Architecture/Engineering and Construction or GovCon industry
• Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
• PMP Certification
• Natural ability to work with and secure cooperation and commitment from a diverse audience, including senior leadership, clients, and other departments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Your Differentiators:

• Recognized as a practice expert in the project management domain
• Strong familiarity with project management software (e.g., Unanet, MS Project)
• Demonstrable track record of developing and managing implementation plans with clients

The salary range for this opportunity is $115,000 - $125,000 per year. You will be eligible for discretionary bonus compensation, subject to plans that may be in effect from time to time.
