What You'll Do:

The Principal Software Engineering will be responsible for platform architecture to build advance technical solutions alongside the team. The Principal will also work with other OCC teams comprised of software & systems engineers business systems analysts product owners and application architects who plan design develop test and deploy technology solutions at OCC. The candidate must be able to solve problems creatively communicate effectively and engage in technical decision making to achieve these objectives. This individual will be a team player and work well with business and technical professionals across different departments in a fast-paced agile and distributed development environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.

• Support and plans a strategic roadmap for the ServiceNow platform and manages the delivery of complex projects which may involve multiple systems

• Solve complex techical issues within the platform with the objective of system maturation

• Develops short and long-term strategy for delivery of system objectives together with the technical and business product owner(s) and other partners

• Provides leadership to solution development teams to ensure integrated architecture and proactively engages with teams to promote process and organizational improvements that enhance overall platform effectiveness

• Collaborate with technical experts and architects resolve complex technical challenges while also ensuring compliance of various OCC standards around coding testing and documenting the systems you develop

• Guides the transformation of complex business requirements into specifications that will increase understanding of Why & What part of business requirements to the development team

• Leads data management and reporting efforts to promote a stable architecture and usable platform

• A team player who assists the team as required to achieve collective goals & delivery milestones including knowledge-share

Qualifications:

• [Required] 10+ years in implementing and managing various ServiceNow solutions can offer customers real-world examples and provide best practice solution options

• [Required] 8+ years of relevant work experience implementing and managing IT Security and/or GRC solutions

• [Required] Expert with the CMDB and Common Service Data Model (4.0+) including data implementation and maintenance activities

• [Required] Expert with utilizing Performance Analytics and practical data analytics experience

• [Required] Knowledge of system architecture

• [Required] Practical expert level knowledge of various ServiceNow solutions including ITSM ITOM Security Operations/Vulnerability Management Software Asset Management Hardware Asset Management

• [Required] Excellent oral and written communication skills

• [Required] Ability to create and present executive level presentations

• [Required] Curious and adept in developing understanding about technology including industry best practices platform capabilities and architecture principles to help drive team productivity

• [Preferred] Work experience in regulated Financial Services industry

• [Preferred] Hands-on experience with ServiceNow’s UI Builder

Technical Skills

• [Required] Working knowledge with ServiceNow and familiarity with other cloud-based technology management solutions (e.g. Jira Confluence Workday Oracle Cloud etc.)

• [Required] Working knowledge of JavaScript

• [Required] Knowledge of various IT processes and best practices

• [Required] Knowledge of Agile Development framework and effective SCRUM techniques

Certificates or Licenses
