Principal Solutions Architect

This role sits at the intersection of advanced data engineering, solution architecture, and client-facing technical leadership. You will design and deliver end-to-end data platforms that enable AI, machine learning, and analytics at enterprise scale. Acting as both a trusted advisor and technical leader, you will guide customers through complex architecture decisions while also supporting pre-sales engagements that shape solution strategy. The position blends hands-on technical depth with strategic influence, requiring close collaboration with engineering, sales, and customer stakeholders. You will work across multiple industries and accounts, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing data ecosystems. This is a high-impact role where your expertise directly drives customer success and innovation in modern data platforms.

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients, guiding them in designing scalable data architectures and modern data engineering solutions.
• Lead end-to-end solution design and implementation across data pipelines, analytics platforms, and AI/ML workloads using modern data technologies.
• Partner with sales teams in pre-sales engagements, presenting technical architectures and demonstrating value to prospective clients.
• Architect robust data solutions on cloud platforms, ensuring best practices in governance, security, scalability, and performance.
• Oversee multiple client engagements, managing delivery timelines, technical execution, and project outcomes.
• Lead technical discovery sessions and translate business requirements into detailed architecture blueprints and implementation plans.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to engineering teams while ensuring quality, reliability, and best practices across deliverables.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in solutions architecture or senior data engineering roles with strong hands-on delivery experience.
• Deep expertise in data engineering ecosystems including Databricks, Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, and modern cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, and/or Scala, with solid SQL expertise for data modeling and optimization.
• Proven ability to design and deliver end-to-end data solutions, including ETL pipelines, data modeling, and distributed architectures.
• Strong client-facing experience with excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading technical teams, mentoring engineers, and driving delivery in complex environments.
• Strong documentation skills, including architecture diagrams, solution design docs, and technical specifications.
