As a Principal Specialist, Accounting within the Collins Finance Shared Service you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of accounting projects that will strengthen controls compliance across the enterprise. This is a visible role which will provide the opportunity to work across and be exposed to multiple accounting topics.

This position can be worked remotely.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Routinely work in multiple accounting and consolidation systems including SAP, JD Edwards, and Hyperion
  • Train with team members to ensure contingency plans are in place for critical activities
  • Support projects designed to improve processes and strengthen controls compliance
  • Submit and approve journal entries completed by General Ledger team in Agile Point tool
  • Complete and approve account reconciliations in Account Reconciliation Management (ARMs) Tool
  • Complete financial entries in SAP and JDE to support shared service functions

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in SAP, JD Edwards and HFM
  • Prior experience in project management
