As a Product Designer, your focus will be on innovating and improving our existing core product and feature design and building new designs from scratch. You will be imperative to the continued growth and scalability of Roofr’s products and services, as the industry and the needs of our clients evolve.
What you get to do:
- Translate complex user needs into thoughtful and easy-to-use design
- Pushing big change by asking bold questions; starting small, testing, and learning your way to something dramatically better
- Drive design experiments to evaluate their impact on the product, both for users and business
- Apply both big-picture design thinking and attention to detail to sophisticated technical issues in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers and other stakeholders to define design vision and create intuitive, cohesive and delightful experiences.
- Use your knowledge of best practices to design for the full life cycle, from requirement refinement to full fidelity prototypes
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing and Engineering to ensure a consistent and cohesive user experience
- Rapidly develop sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, mocks and specs. You are responsible for the entire design process.
- Ensure product design deliverable adheres to high design standards
- Participate in the UX design vision by building concepts and specifying user flows, interfaces, interactions, and overall experiences via mockups, diagrams, and prototypes
What you bring to the role:
- 5+ years of experience in full lifecycle product design, implementation, journey mapping
- The ability to tell stories that change the way people think about building products and solving problems, and that illustrate the power of what software can do to make them even better
- Ability to think about a problem from multiple perspectives to come up with the best design
- A passion for design and continual experimentation, iteration and optimization
- Ability to make sound design decisions with data and user testing as vital tools
- Ability to quickly grasp and break down highly complex user design issues into clean, testable hypothesis
- Expert knowledge of design tools
Bonuses Points:
- Experience with AB testing tools and processes
- Experience in Sketch & Wireframing, Prototyping, HTML/CSS/JS
- Experience in user research and usability studies, prototype flows, concepts, and interactions
- Come from a startup background, comfortable with fast paced environments and the ability to be creative and insightful
