Job description

Team: Design

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Designer based in Canada.

This role focuses on shaping intuitive, high-impact product experiences that directly influence user activation, retention, and long-term engagement within a complex SaaS environment. You will design end-to-end workflows that simplify intricate multi-user, multi-tenant systems while ensuring clarity, consistency, and scalability across the product. The role goes beyond visual design, emphasizing problem-solving, systems thinking, and data-informed decision-making. You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Data teams to translate user needs and business goals into seamless, measurable experiences. A key part of your work will involve improving onboarding, monetization flows, and critical user journeys such as billing and payments. This is a hands-on, iterative role where experimentation, user insight, and fast feedback loops are central to success. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and highly focused on product-led growth and continuous improvement.

Accountabilities

  • Design intuitive and scalable user experiences that handle complex multi-tenant structures, permissions, and role-based access flows.
  • Create tailored workflows for different user types while maintaining a cohesive and consistent core product experience.
  • Improve key growth and monetization journeys, including activation flows, onboarding, paywalls, feature adoption, and upgrade paths.
  • Reduce friction across critical product areas such as invoicing, payments, recurring billing, and account management.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on in-app messaging, lifecycle communications, and growth experiments.
  • Partner with Product and Data teams to define hypotheses, design experiments, and iterate based on performance insights.
  • Translate complex product challenges into clear, user-centered design solutions that increase clarity, confidence, and conversion.
  • Contribute to and evolve a scalable design system while ensuring consistency and usability across all product surfaces.
  • Work closely with Engineering to ensure feasibility, implementation quality, and design integrity across releases.

  • Requirements

    • 3–5 years of experience in product design for web and/or SaaS applications.
    • Strong portfolio demonstrating UX thinking, UI craftsmanship, and measurable product impact.
    • Experience designing onboarding, activation, retention, or monetization flows in product-led growth environments.
    • Solid understanding of user behavior, experimentation, and data-informed design decision-making.
    • Proficiency in Figma and experience working within established design systems.
    • Ability to move seamlessly between low-fidelity exploration and high-fidelity production-ready designs.
    • Experience collaborating closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and cross-functional teams in agile environments.
    • Strong problem-framing skills and ability to simplify complex workflows into scalable solutions.
    • Bonus: experience with subscription products, payments, pricing experiments, or multi-user/multi-tenant systems.
    • Bonus: familiarity with small business or service-based user segments and workflow-driven products.

    • Benefits

      • Competitive compensation aligned with experience and market benchmarks (CAD $105,000–$115,000 target base range)
      • Flexible work arrangements (remote, hybrid, or in-office depending on preference and location)
      • Annual wellness stipend and comprehensive wellness benefits
      • Generous flexible time off (FTO), plus paid volunteer day and floating holidays
      • Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP)
      • Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) with company matching
      • Opportunities for professional growth in a product-led, innovation-driven environment
      • Collaborative, distributed team culture across North America and international locations
