Job Description

Job Description:

Which means you will be working on a cross-functional team who all share the same focus: learning from our customers and using that knowledge to decide what problems to solve and how to solve them. This is why we look for practitioners who are passionate about understanding people, committed to lifelong learning, and are driven by the love of what they do.
The Opportunity
The Insights and Analytics Product teams at Pluralsight are focused on providing insightful, action-focused data experiences to our customers. Technical leaders at the organizations we serve are looking for diagnostic, prescriptive and predictive insights to help them in decision making, and supporting skills growth of team members. In order to provide these insights we are actively evolving our data infrastructure via groundbreaking data streaming. Data science and machine learning partnerships are an exciting part of our team's future in providing advanced analytics for our customers.
We are looking for a results-oriented Product Manager to join our team and help own the next evolution of leader data products at Pluralsight. You will work side by side with the developers on the team to build excellent internal data tools. You will partner with data science, and other product teams to provide the data and insights that power customer facing experiences.

  • You ask detailed questions, understand nuance, and challenge conventional wisdom
  • You improve the health of your team, seek and provide feedback

What You'll Own
  • Driving product mission, vision and strategy that focuses on back end data products and aligns to company strategy and objectives
  • Defining, prioritizing, and delivering outcomes with your team
  • Using research and human-centered design to uncover customer problems and validate solutions
  • Facilitating engineering and other team members through problem solving to build innovative solutions that are viable, desirable, and feasible
  • Communicating plans, progress, goals, and roadblocks to partners
  • Resolving and reducing issues in collaboration with engineering
  • Evaluating the cost vs. ROI of maintaining experiences vs. innovating new ones

Experience You'll Need
  • 3-5 years of product experience
  • Experience working with data engineers and/or machine learning engineers, and communicating on a technical level
  • Experience developing data products and/or visualizations
  • Experience (in both breadth and depth) designing mixed-methodology research strategies, mapping qualitative to quantitative data, and using synthesis to drive impactful insights
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and collaboration skills
  • Technical degree and/or experience a bonus (Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, etc.)
