Job Description

Team: Project Management

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Program Officer in United States.

This role plays a central part in enabling global health programs to run effectively, ensuring that complex projects deliver high-quality results across multiple countries and stakeholders. You will support end-to-end project operations, acting as a key connector between program leadership and internal business units such as finance, procurement, HR, and contracts. The position combines hands-on project coordination with analytical and administrative oversight, requiring strong organizational discipline and the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, multicultural environments. You will contribute directly to the efficiency, compliance, and impact of health initiatives, while helping strengthen systems that improve health outcomes in low- and middle-income countries. This is a highly collaborative role where precision, communication, and problem-solving directly influence program success and donor confidence.

Accountabilities:

  • Provide operational and administrative support across global health projects, serving as a primary coordination point between project leadership and internal departments such as finance, procurement, HR, and contracts.
  • Manage day-to-day project workflows including templates, calendars, tracking tools, deliverables, and documentation to ensure smooth execution and compliance.
  • Support project planning and execution activities, including workplans, reporting cycles, consultant management, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Oversee financial and contractual processes in collaboration with finance teams, including invoice reviews, budget tracking, purchase orders, and subaward administration.
  • Support the development, editing, and formatting of technical deliverables, reports, and communications materials, ensuring clarity and quality of outputs.
  • Facilitate project meetings, track action items, and maintain dashboards, logs, and reporting tools to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Contribute to project start-up, implementation, and close-out activities, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and donor requirements.
  • Participate in business development and proposal coordination efforts as needed.
  • Support internal systems, tools, and quality management processes, ensuring accurate data entry and effective use of platforms such as SharePoint, Workday, and related systems.
  • Requirements

This role requires strong project coordination experience in global health or international development environments, along with excellent organizational and communication skills. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working across teams and time zones in fast-moving, multicultural settings.

    • Bachelor’s degree in public health or a related field.
    • 3–5 years of experience supporting project operations in global health or international development, preferably in LMIC contexts.
    • Strong project management, analytical, and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
    • Experience with financial tracking, budgeting processes, and administrative project support.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing reports, presentations, and donor-facing documents.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with systems such as Workday, Salesforce, or Costpoint is a plus.
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple teams and stakeholders.
    • Strong interpersonal, cross-cultural communication, and consensus-building skills.
    • Fluency in English and French (written and spoken).
    • Strong systems thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability in dynamic environments.
    • Benefits

      • Competitive salary aligned with experience and location.
      • Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
      • Paid time off including vacation, sick leave, and holidays.
      • Retirement savings plan with employer contribution options.
      • Flexible work arrangements with remote work eligibility in authorized locations.
      • Professional development, training, and learning opportunities.
      • Life, disability, and additional voluntary insurance options.
      • Inclusive and mission-driven work environment focused on global health impact.
