Location: Burnaby, BC

Compensation: $90,000 to $130,000 per year; extended medical benefits

Our client is an Electrical Contractor providing solutions for Commercial and Industrial projects across BC. With a strong focus on General Contracting and Electrical projects their expertise spans Tenant Improvements, EV Chargers and Charging Infrastructure, Solar Power, Power Systems, Healthcare, Data Communication, and Repair and Maintenance services.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join this dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of projects. This role demands a strong leader with a comprehensive understanding of project management principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate the complexities of electrical contracting and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning and implementation of project tasks and resources, including setting project goals, timelines, and budgets.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within the scope, and within budget.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, design documents, and compliance certificates.
• Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
• Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Report and escalate issues to management as needed.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
• Ensure strict adherence to quality and safety standards in all project areas.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to project team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Must have experience working as a Project Manager in the electrical contracting and construction industry with references.
• Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in electrical engineering and construction.
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management tools.
• PMP certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of BC building codes, standards, and regulations related to electrical and construction projects.

Ability to lead, inspire, and work effectively in a team environment.
