POSITION OVERVIEW:
- Position Type: Full-time, In Office
- Location: 400-1430 Blair Towers Place, Ottawa ON
- Compensation Starting at: $85,000/year based on experience
- Security Clearance Requirements: Due to the nature of our work, all employees must be able to obtain a clearance with the Government of Canada. For this position, you will be required to obtain a Level 2 - Secret clearance which requires a minimum of 10 years residency in Canada.
The Project Manager plays a key role in delivering successful projects within the Raymond EMC PMO. You’ll lead projects from planning through delivery - ensuring they’re completed on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves coordinating resources, managing risks, and keeping communication flowing across teams, stakeholders, and external partners.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Willingness to undergo a criminal background check.
- Ability to obtain a Level 2 Government of Canada Security Clearance.
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field such as business administration, project management, engineering, or information technology is required.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered, depending on the experience.
- Minimum of three years of progressive experience in project management, coordination, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets, schedules, and working with diverse teams is essential.
- Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile methodologies
NICE TO HAVE:
- Bilingual proficiency in both French and English.
- Experience working on large Government of Canada contracts, demonstrating familiarity with public sector processes and requirements.
- Proven experience in Agile methodologies, including participation in Agile teams and delivery cycles.
- Degree in engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Experience working with artificial intelligence (AI) tools and technologies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop detailed project plans, including objectives, timelines, and resource needs.
- Monitor project progress and address issues proactively to ensure successful delivery.
- Lead regular team meetings to support collaboration, resolve challenges, and maintain momentum.
- Provide clear, timely updates on project status, risks, and key milestones to stakeholders.
- Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial accountability.
- Identify project risks, implement mitigation strategies, and adjust plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate, complete project documentation in alignment with PMO standards.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to support project goals.
- Contribute to PMO improvements by sharing best practices and supporting process enhancements.
- Mentor project coordinators and administrators to build team capability and effectiveness.
- Support training activities to promote continuous learning and a high‑performing project team.
