Job Purpose
This detail-oriented role will work as part of the Creative Services team to review, proof and edit static and digital marketing content for all lines of business in a fast-paced work environment. The proofreader will ensure that the final work product is error-free, grammatically correct and aligned with the brand tone and voice and consistent with company guidelines.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Review and markup static and digital Marketing content for spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, usage, consistency and brand voice.
• Make corrections and suggest edits to the document that elevate the final product.
• Work as part of larger design team, attend team meetings, provide constructive editorial input, and communicate with team members to effectuate consistent, accurate and high-quality work product.
• Verify the accuracy of all refernced facts and double-check referenced materials as well as maintain source log.
• The essential functions listed represent the major duties of this role, additional duties may be assigned.

What You Must Have:

• 3+ years related work experience to include proofreading
• Related Bachelor's degree or additional related equivalent work experience

What We Would Prefer:

Healthcare-related experience as a proofreader

Digital writing experience is a plus!

Additional Required Qualifications
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Expert knowledge of AP (Associated Press) and other style guides.
Fluent in proofreading symbols.
Fact-checking and research expertise.
Collaboration with design team to communicate issues and edits, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Excellent computer skills including MS Office applications such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Exceptional attention to detail
Enjoy working in a fast paced environment with quick turnaround times

Solid time management skills

General Physical Demands
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.
