Public Relations and Analyst Relations Specialist
Job Description
Avetta is looking for a Public Relations & Analyst Relations (PR/AR) Specialist to join our Marketing team. In this role, you will work on a wide variety of public relations campaigns and industry analyst relations programs, as well as cross-functionally with teams including product management, product marketing, customer experience and sales. It’s a fast-paced role within a high-energy team.
Reporting to the Director of Brand & Messaging, the role requires an understanding of media relations, digital content creation, and industry analyst relations. Ideal for a self-starter with creative and critical thinking abilities, an eye for detail, and strong project management skills looking for a role with growth potential.
DELIVERABLES:
- Work across the Marketing team to keep the PR and AR programs focused, organized, and delivering on goals
- Assist with planning and implementing public relations strategies to increase awareness of key areas of the business with a focus on products, partnerships, and verticals
- Support our analyst relations program in partnership with the Chief Marketing Officer, including proactively supervising analyst report calendars, developing briefing materials, and responding to analyst inquiries
- Manage all Social Media strategies globally, generates social posts based on Marketing calendar and owning the relationship with our social media agency
- Collaborate with our customer experience team to bring Avetta customers into analyst reviews programs (i.e. Gartner)
- Ensure the timely distribution of relevant Avetta/industry news internally via email, and externally via PR Newswire, NYSE distribution services, LinkedIn and Avetta’s website
- Develop and edit written materials, including press releases, fact sheets, FAQs, and other supporting material
- Monitor industry news and analyze media coverage through a third-party media tracker
- Own and update Avetta’s media coverage archive and PR measurement process while tracking critical metrics for internal reporting
- Work with external PR on media inquiries and interview requests for key spokespeople and assemble media briefing and press kit materials
- Help coordinate submission materials for speaking and award opportunities
- Coordinate multiple communications requests while maintaining priorities and stress levels
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications or Journalism preferred
- 2 years’ experience in public relations or corporate communications; agency experience preferred
- Experience with acquisition & mergers
- Experience with pitching and working with media directly
- Experience writing press releases, bylines, award nominations, and more
- Experience in handling measurement and reporting
- Experience working with industry analysts in B2B enterprise software
- Strong interest to learn more about enterprise SaaS technology, including the key trends that define the space
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communications skills
- Skilled at carefully planning, prioritizing, and carrying out your work with a bias for action in a fast-paced environment
- Forward-thinking, upbeat, and enthusiastic about collaborating with many different team members and departments
- B2B or B2C Social Media experience
- In-depth knowledge of AP/APA style
METRICS THAT MATTER:
- Maintaining relationship and ownership with our current PR firm
- Publication of a few PR releases per month
- Every press release needs to include data science, analytics, metrics
- 2-3 contributing articles per month
- Open working relationship with the analyst community – who are these firms
- Share voice above 75%
- Awards – people, product, company
- Social Media increase in followers and traction
