PEAK 15 Systems (peak15systems.com), part of the Fullsteam organization, is a growing software company that delivers a cloud-based management system to the travel industry. Our customers include Travel + Leisure Magazine Worldβs Best Award Winners National Geographic Expeditions, Micato Safaris, and Butterfield & Robinson who use the system to craft unique itineraries, process bookings, streamline operations and manage customer and vendor relationships.
Reporting directly to the QA Manager, the QA Analyst will perform QA functions: utilizing testing systems, tools, and working closely with Engineering, Product and DevOps leads to improve both quality and velocity. In addition, the QA Analyst is expected to be hands on with manual testing and ideally have experience with automated regression, and performance testing systems and procedures. The QA Analyst is expected to evaluate the results and write up the appropriate tickets to address test failures. The QA Analyst is also expected to be able to provide process improvements and build and implement specific story-based test plans. A bonus would be a QA Analyst who has experience with API testing and the ability to create collections of API tests.
Primary Responsibilities
- Utilize QA processes and systems to provide accurate results
- Write up bugs and issues discovered in testing in a timely manner
- Ensure current and future process and systems are optimal
- Create Test Plans for new feature stories
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, DevOps, and Support leads
- Participate directly in QA processes and procedures to assist manual and automated testing, where needed
- Join and contribute to Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-up, and retrospectives
- Participate in after hour production deployments
Qualifications
- 4+ years as a QA Analyst/Engineer/Tester or similar role demonstrating manual and/or automation testing experience is required
- Familiarity with Agile methodology and role of QA in CI/CD
- Working knowledge of test management software such as ADO Test Plans
- Working knowledge of API testing software such as Postman or Rest Assured or similar
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Keen attention to detail and a stickler for accuracy
- Must be extremely disciplined and take ownership of the product
- Automation experience a plus but not required
