ABOUT THE ENGINEER IN TEST ROLE AND OUR TEAM:
The Knot Worldwide is hiring an Engineer in Test to join a highly motivated team. The right engineer will enjoy fast paced collaboration with product, design, and software engineering teams in an Agile environment to ensure high quality web and mobile features for our couples. Â
This role will focus on applications and products in the Planning and Guest Zone - iterating on features that ensure couples, wedding planners and guests have a consistently excellent experience using The Knot Worldwide’s digital products to drive meaningful impact planning life’s unique milestones..
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that features are high-quality by building test strategies, writing and executing test plans, and communicating with the team about issues, risk, and product quality.
- Leverage skills and experience to develop automated tests to ensure product quality.
- Manual test new features and bug fixes before incorporating them into automated test suites.Â
- Interface with teams in coordinating cross browser and manual regression testing when needed.
- Promote best practices surrounding TDD, continuous integration, code standards, etc..
SUCCESSFUL ENGINEERS IN TEST HAVE:
- Understands QA software methodologies, tools and processes.
- Hands on experience writing automated tests for user interfaces. Experience writing automated tests for backend services.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Experience with Cypress or other modern UI test frameworks.
BONUS POINTS
- Experience using Node.js and JavaScript.
- Experience with AWS/Kubernetes/Docker concepts and technology.
- Experience designing and developing load tests to measure application performance.
