QA Lead

Clickup’s quality engineering organisation is looking for leads to own and drive quality for Clickup’s suite of products. We are looking for experts in the quality function who are smart, hardworking and driven. This role will have a high impact in improving our suite of products and delighting our customers.

• You are technical. You understand how large, scalable & complex consumer facing applications work. You also understand how these applications may fail and how to prevent such failures
• You can apply test automation to scale your testing efforts
• You are an excellent collaborator with SWE, EMs, PMs and other team members

You will make impact by :

• Levelling up the quality maturity of our product development teams
• Defining comprehensive test strategy & test plans for your product(s) that prevent defects in production
• Work with our Quality team in international locations to test and release new features with high quality.
• Mentor & guide our quality team members in international locations in testing, execution, process and career development
• Identifying test gaps and trends that need focus. Drive resolution of those gaps by working with the appropriate teams
• Champion a “Shift left” software development culture by promoting best practices that lead to discovery of defects early in SDLC
• Make use of numbers well to inform and influence. Apply metrics, KPIs to test strategy, decision making and conflict resolution.

Experience we are looking for :

• Been there and done that. We are looking for seasoned leaders that have experience owning quality for consumer facing applications, working with development teams. This is not a position for a fresher or someone early in their career.
• You are considered an expert in testing. Experience with various testing techniques, test processes, test tools.
• Experience using test automation tools/ framework to reduce cost - such as UI test, API test, unit tests. (For example Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, REST, Postman etc)
• Expertise with bug tracking, test case management, compatibility test tools. Such as Test rail, X Ray, Browserstack, saucelabs etc.
• Comfortable in reading and reviewing code to inform testing and detecting bugs.
• Experience working in a CI/CD environment
