Mountaintop is a new game studio creating multiplayer games for players who crave a challenge. We’re an independent, remote-first studio primarily located in the US. 

We’re creating the types of games that bring people together — and keep them together for “just one more round.” The types of games that inspired us as kids. The games that become our hobbies, and sometimes our obsessions.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a QA Tester (Contract) who’s passionate about building extraordinary new experiences that inspire others. You’ll play a crucial role in bringing our first title to life.

YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

• Working on test assignments between internal and external QA teams
• Defining test cases and test plans for assigned features
• Collaborating with feature owners to assess development plans and identify test coverage requirements
• Contributing to concept, direction, and gameplay for all Mountaintop projects
• Investigating, analyzing, and reporting bug trends and quality metrics
• Providing regular reports/updates on game quality
• Consistently improving processes and procedures to boost test efficiency where possible
• Helping to foster and promote our team culture that prides itself on excellence, innovation, trust, and respect

ABOUT YOU

• A love for playing and making amazing games
• Experience testing PC and/or console titles
• Experience working with external QA teams
• Experience working on first-person or third-person shooters
• Problem-solver who can simplify and resolve issues quickly
• Capacity to build and implement innovative testing procedures and materials
• Demonstrated success in driving test results and improving game quality
• Self-motivated, with great time management skills
• Willing to take risks and learn from failure

PLUSES

• Experience working with Unreal Engine
• Experience working on networked multiplayer games
• Experience working on games-as-a-service titles
• Experience with Localization testing
• Experience with PC compatibility testing
• Experience with major console certifications and submissions
• Experience with UR / UX testing
