This role is focused on advancing patient safety and clinical quality across a multi-site oncology care network, ensuring that patients receive safe, evidence-based, and consistently high-quality care. You will contribute directly to improving clinical outcomes by identifying gaps in care, leading quality improvement initiatives, and supporting patient safety programs. The position blends analytical work, field-based assessments, and cross-functional collaboration with clinical and operational teams. You will help drive a culture of continuous improvement by translating data into actionable insights and guiding teams in best practices. With a mix of remote work and up to 50% travel, you will engage directly with clinic teams to assess performance and implement improvements. This is a mission-driven role where your work has a direct impact on patient outcomes and care quality.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead clinical quality improvement initiatives aimed at closing gaps in care, including preventive screening tracking and performance improvement projects.
  • Support patient safety programs by reviewing adverse event reports, conducting root cause analyses, and contributing to protocol updates and improvements.
  • Conduct regular site audits across clinical locations to ensure adherence to patient safety standards and quality best practices.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nursing, providers, and operations, to implement ASCO QOPI quality measures and improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver training materials and educational programs to support staff understanding of patient safety and quality improvement methodologies.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on quality metrics and project outcomes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory expectations.
  • Facilitate workshops, support cross-functional communication, and maintain comprehensive documentation of all quality improvement activities.
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, nursing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality improvement, healthcare operations, or a related clinical quality role.
    • Strong understanding of quality improvement methodologies, patient safety principles, and healthcare performance metrics.
    • Experience conducting root cause analysis, gap analysis, and implementing corrective action plans.
    • Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills across clinical and operational teams.
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
    • Lean/Six Sigma certification is preferred.
