This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Quality Assurance Developer based in Mexico .
This role is an opportunity to contribute to the quality and reliability of modern web applications and APIs within a global technology environment.
You will work closely with engineering teams to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions that improve product stability and delivery confidence.
The position focuses on hands-on automation development, with a strong emphasis on Playwright and modern testing practices.
You will help identify issues early, improve testing coverage, and support teams in delivering high-quality software solutions.
The role requires technical ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, international environment.
You will join a team focused on execution, innovation, and helping organizations build scalable digital capabilities.
Accountabilities:
As a Quality Assurance Developer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing automated testing solutions while collaborating closely with engineering teams to ensure software quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for web applications and APIs.
- Build and expand test automation frameworks using Playwright, creating production-ready scripts from the beginning.
- Support and enhance existing test coverage using tools such as Cypress and Postman.
- Develop detailed test scenarios and automation scripts rather than only executing pre-existing test suites.
- Collaborate with developers to identify, reproduce, analyze, and resolve defects.
- Validate application functionality, reliability, and performance through structured testing practices.
- Communicate testing progress, risks, and issues clearly to technical leads and project stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and automation strategies.
- 5+ years of professional experience as a QA Developer with strong knowledge of software testing concepts and methodologies.
- Proven experience testing both web applications and APIs.
- Hands-on experience developing automated tests with Playwright, including writing and maintaining automation scripts.
- Experience with Cypress and Postman for automated testing and API validation.
- Strong understanding of test design, defect management, and quality assurance processes.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with software engineers and technical teams.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a problem-solving mindset.
- Advanced English proficiency (C1/C2) for communication in an international environment.
- Ability to work remotely and collaborate within US Central Time Zone working hours.
- Availability to provide personal equipment, including a laptop suitable for development activities.
- Fully remote work model from Brazil or other eligible Latin American locations.
- Contractor position with hourly compensation paid in USD.
